The 2014 season will feature the Porsche (991) 911 GT3 Cup, with all drivers competing with the same model with 460 hp (10cv more than in 2013). This is the fastest car ever seen in the Carrera Cup Great Britain and will ensure that the championship maintains its position as the fastest category in Britain.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is based on the production model 911 series –offering an exceptional level of power and yet, our engineers were able to increase it. How? Fighting hard for each kilogram and each kilowatt added. Thanks to the modular exhaust system optimized racing weight, 3.8-liter V6 engine of the new 911 GT3 Cup now produces 338 kW (460hp). Engine power is transmitted to the rear axle via a racing clutch and sequential gearbox six speeds newly developed mechanical slip differential. The change system makes electro-pneumatic paddle gear changes even faster and more efficient.
The 911 GT3 Cup is also faster to brake. Adjusting for resistance brake system newly developed career performed impressively and will impress rival drivers that can now be overcome under braking even more frequently. The necessary stability is provided by the extended wheelbase – 100 mm longer than its predecessor – as well as the optimized frame.
